This place came highly recommended by my coworkers, so I decided to try it when I forgot my lunch one day. I had chicken kabobs with rice. It was delicious! Authentic and affordable, I will definitely be back. They had a nice sized menu, but I enjoyed the kabobs so much it'll probably be hard to get me to order anything else! Always looking for a reasonable and healthy lunch spot, and I found it in Tickles. I don't think I'd eat in, because the atmosphere left something to be desired, although it was charming. To-go was quick and amazing!

Don't judge a book by its cover here! It is so old and run down and did i mention its old and run down? However the food is awesome. I had the gyro plate which came with rice and a salad for $7.49. Although the food is served with paper plates and plastic utensils it does not matter cause the food is bomb. The rice was cooked perfect and the side salad had the most amazing homemade greek dressing! The pita was fresh and delicious. Like i said it doesn't look anything like a restaurant you would want to eat at but if your looking for good greek food and cheap! You have found the right spot! Only negative is that the Taziki sauce was a little flavorless and bland but still good altogether. Staff was friendly, helpfull and brought food out fast. Overall great experience. Thanks tickles! Also you have to try the best baklava! Sweet but not too sweet plenty of nuts. Fresh and crispy. Awesome awesome awesome!!!

All the food was pretty bland. I had the Gyro and fries. Everything seemed to taste like everything else, and it was just one overall mass of food that I ate. It's a shame that nothing (not even the fry sauce) packed a punch in the flavor department. Not bad food, and looks promising, but for some reason it just wasn't bringing that burst of flavor that you look for, and there wasn't much contrast between the Gyro and the fries (strange, I know).

The owner is so nice and helpful. When I go to Tickles I feel like part of their family. The food is amazing. Best Greek food I've had in Salt Lake. I would definitely recommend to all my friends and family.

I only review places I like. I'm not a food critic. So...I love this place. They do something magical to their pork. It's weird how amazing it is. The place is fast and easy for lunch. The owner takes your order and is proud of his food.

Just went there on my lunch break (I work next door at Starbucks). The man behind the counter was so sweet and helpful! And the lemon rice soup (Fridays only) was fabulous! Cheap, delicious, authentic Greek food? What's not to love!?! I will definitely be coming back. Probably often. (:

This is my favorite fast food restaurant of all time! They have the best chicken shishkabobs I've had, the pitas are fresh, and the fries are perfect!

Worst Greek food of my life! The chicken was pre packaged and re heated. Giving it a leathery texture. It was the smallest gyro I've ever seen as well. The only highlight was the fries. Greasy as well. You can't really fill up on fries.

Sometimes you run into what I call a taste for "the cheap," and that explains why you're buying a whole bunch of those Totino's cracker pizzas or cans of Spaghetti-Os or a small stack of Top Ramen. There's no shame in this; it happens to us all, this insatiable craving for something cheap in every way, including taste. As much as I enjoyed this place, I would add this to that category, as it was close enough for me to walk to and had enough decent menu items that I could come away mostly satisfied without breaking the bank. I didn't swing too much into the strictly Greek eats, outside of their fantastic baklava, which probably rates one of those stars all by itself, but the bacon cheeseburger and fries I had a few times were right along the lines of the hearty greasy variety I was expecting. The ambiance is decidedly lacking, unless you really like looking through the pastel window paint adoring the exterior, not that either 900 E. or 3900 S. are especially great shakes to look at. The parking in the back is a pain and one of the main reasons I tried to stick with walking. The service is very top-notch, though, with everyone very nice and friendly and happy to see you. It always made for a pleasant experience, even if the culinary part of it was not going to be winning too many gourmet awards anytime soon. As much as I enjoyed going there, it was very much an "area" restaurant, in which I'd somewhat regularly go while I was living in the vicinity, but wouldn't consider making a special trip and it would be up for debate if I was around...maybe if that coincided with a taste for the cheap I might have at the time...the baklava is quite good, though, possibly the best I've had in the valley and their shakes are worth hitting up, if the line at Iceberg across the street is too extensive.

Really really great, down to earth diner. Johnny, the owner, is a really awesome guy too.

I saw the reviews on this place and decided to try it out since I love Greek food and I love Gyros. I bought my dad and I lunch here expecting great things. The owner was really nice but I'm sorry to say that the Gyro was one of the worst I've had. I paid $12.95 for our meals and it was the first time I've thrown food away.

Small place but with lot of seating. Prices were very reasonable. Got the gyro combo (gyro sandwich, greek salad, and drink) plus a baklava. Total was around $9. Gyro was yummy! Could have been bit larger but it was tasty. The salad was typical salad. The baklava was not as moist and honey-soaked as I am used to but it was a good way to finish off lunch. I'd recommend this place for a quick cheap lunch.

I don't know when people from Greece decided to settle in Salt Lake and I don't know when a bunch of them decided to open burger joints, but I'm glad they did. there are other Greek burger joints that are close to my house, but one thing Tickles has that sets itself apart from the rest is a funny name. the best thing about Greek burger joints is that you can get a gyro instead. the other best thing is that most of these places are run by old Greek dudes and old Greek dudes are super cool (I have no idea why this is the case, but it's totally true). what's kind of sad about Tickles is that while they hit the mark with the old Greek dude, the gyro was just kind of average. the pita was nice and toasted, but the meat and the tzatziki were both kind of meh. I still enjoyed the gyro because as a rule all gyros are delicious. I also intend to go back because 1) I want to figure out the correct way to go through the drive-thru (it has this doorbell attached to it that I didn't press although I felt like I should have and I don't know where you are supposed to drive when you leave so I totally ramped a curb) and 2) they have something on the menu called chicken fagitas (see my pic, maybe this is a real thing and FAMILY GUY IS NOT FUNNY). I kind of expect other things on the menu to be way good and when they are I will amend my rating. so while I was not totally into Tickles, I will be back because I'm a sucker for stuff with funny names.

Teek-lays? Tickles? Tick-lay? Teek-less? Tick-less? HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE THE NAME? Saying Tickles (tickuls) just seem way too "not Greek" to be right. But I could be wrong. Anyways, this place is the best. I'm really picky about my gyros. I don't really like lamb, so I always want chicken. But not the kabob chicken, I mean the thin-sliced gyro-style meat they scrape off the rotisserie. And this place has that!!! My husband and I ate here so much we didn't even have to speak our orders anymore. I hope they're still doing good. We live in CA now, and can't find greek food like this to save our lives.

My wife and I tried it the other night and it was really good! Great chicken kabobs and philly cheese steak. Everything was hot and fresh. We will be back.

Got the Gyro meal with rice, etc. and it was just OK. I'm not a huge fan of Greek food and it mostly seems every place is the same and taste the same. Anyway, this was OK and I would go back if I was around there, but wouldn't plan on being too impressed.

I am a regular here. And by regular is that I don't even need to speak a word to get an order placed. There are places in this world where they are made to eat a certain thing, and the Item i eat the most often here is the Philly Steak Combo. Combo number 2 to be precise. The owner is a charming fellow who serves his food with such enthusiasm . One thing I like about these places is the variety of their menu. I have had the gyro here and it was awesome as well. but since I have other places I would rather eat a Gyro at I will go for the place that has such a tasty Philly Cheesesteak sandwich!. Their Fried Zucchini is great and Tzaziki is one of the freshest in town and not runny at all, perfect for dipping your Zucchini in,

Excellent gyro, very clean dining area (spotless restroom, which is hard to find), friendly: best Greek I've had in Salt Lake.
